If you want to order your Powfinder Split 157 with specific split board we suggest you to order them at our retail partner Snowcountry.
Please note that UNION bindings do not fit on our split.
When developing the 157 Split our goal was to develop a splitboard that performs equally well as our solid boards once going down the mountain. We’re all about the ride down the mountain - Performance Matters.
On the other hand we have spent hundreds of hours in skin tracks to find a skin and binding package that would perfectly fit our board. Not only going down, but also going up. During the development we came up with a third goal: buy better, reduce waste. At a certain stage we had so much stuff lying around in our car that we had to find a solution.
With the Karakoram Connect R bindings we found a binding that did fit all our goals. The Prime Connect-R is a light and stiff binding in the All-Mountain Prime range from Karakoram. This creates a light binding with a solid feel and gives a solid snowboard performance. A great binding to take along on your splitboard tour but also great for some solid carves on some hard pack groomers. Combined with the Quiver Connectors you can easily swap your bindings from your splitboard to your solid board which will save you some space in your board bag (and car).
Besides the pre cut fully customized Montana Skins and the Karakoram Connect R bindings including the split set up and the quiver connectors we added the Karakoram Wide Crampons into this package. Karakoram Splitboard Crampons have a unique design that gives you the grip of a fixed ski crampon with the ease of touring from a floating crampon.
In general Powfinder Snowboards can be ridden a bit shorter and wider than you would do normal. Don't be afraid to go for a shorter length. The boards float very well due to their specific shapes and increased surface. Experience has learned us the following:
